ANTI-SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

1: Introduction

Sema Lease UK LTD is committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its business and supply chain and places the same expectations on its suppliers.

2: Structure of the organisation

Sema Lease UK LTD are specialists in 12 month Leasing, providing a cost effective and simple solution to vehicle leasing.

Sema Lease UK LTD is a wholly owned business, registered in the UK under company registration number: 05036315. Sema Lease UK Ltd is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The company lists 2 principle officers on companies house (Richard Carey Ames (Director), Graham John Baalam (Director & Company Sectary).

3: Policies, Contracts and Training

As part of Sema Lease UK LTD commitment to combating modern slavery, Sema Lease UK LTD:

has implemented a whistleblowing policy to assist with the reporting of suspicions of slavery or human trafficking or other compliance concerns;
is revising relevant contracts to mandate business partners to: (i) take steps to ensure their supply chain is free from human trafficking and slavery, and (ii) provide regular awareness training to their staff and contractors;
is providing company-wide awareness guidance to help its staff and contractors identify and report any slavery or human trafficking concerns.

4: Due diligence

As part of Sema Lease UK LTD efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within its supply chains, its purchase processes are being reviewed to assess the risk of slavery or human trafficking. In instances, where risks are considered high, additional due diligence will be undertaken. These additional measures may include supplier questionnaires and audits where required.

5: Risk and compliance

Sema Lease UK LTD has reviewed its risk of exposure to modern slavery occurring in its supply chain. This review has concluded that it has a low risk because most of its purchases are from large multi-national suppliers which, in turn, have implemented measures to identify and eliminate risks of slavery or human trafficking. Nevertheless, Sema Lease UK LTD will not accept complacency on this important topic.

6: Further actions and sign-off

Sema Lease UK LTD procedures are under regular review and the business intends to intensify its efforts to minimise all compliance risks in the forthcoming years.

This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Sema Lease UK LTD slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year 2018.
